Q1. When was the last examination under the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus - 2017) conducted?
A1. The last examination under the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus - 2017) was conducted during the December 2024 session.

Q2. Will there be any further extensions for the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus - 2017)?
A2. No, there will be no further extensions for the Executive Programme under the 2017 (Old) Syllabus. Students must switch to the New Syllabus (2022) for further examinations.

Q3. What happens to students who successfully complete the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus) in the December 2024 session?
A3. Students who successfully complete the Executive Programme Stage in the December 2024 session (results declared on 25th February 2025) will not need to switch to the New Syllabus. They can proceed to register for the Professional Programme.

Q4. What is the procedure for students to switch over to the Executive Programme (New Syllabus - 2022)?
A4. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Login to the SMASH portal (https://smash.icsi.edu/Scripts/login.aspx) using your user ID and password.
  2. Navigate to Module > Switchover > Apply For Switchover.
  3. Click on "Request for Switchover."
  4. Check the checkbox at the bottom and submit the request.
  5. A successful message will appear on the screen.

Q5. What are the fees and prerequisites after switching to the New Syllabus?
A5. Students must pay a pre-exam test fee of ₹1,000 and pass the pre-exam test under the New Syllabus (2022) before enrolling for the CS Main Exams.

Q6. How can students pay the pre-exam test fee under the 2022 syllabus?
A6. Students can pay the fee using the following steps:

  1. Login to the SMASH portal (https://smash.icsi.edu/Scripts/login.aspx).
  2. Go to Module > Pre Exam Test Fees-2022 syllabus.
  3. Proceed to the payment gateway and select the payment mode (Billdesk/Challan).
  4. Complete the payment.
  5. A payment receipt will be generated for successful payments.
                                 

Q7. What paper-wise exemptions are available under the New Syllabus (2022) for students who have passed certain modules in the Old Syllabus (2017)?
A7. The paper-wise exemptions are as follows:

Q8. How can students seek further clarification about the switchover process?
A9. Students can post their queries at the support portal: https://support.icsi.edu.

It may please be noted that the last examination under the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus)

has been conducted during the December 2024 Session. From the December 2024 Session

onwards, all students under the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus) shall be compulsorily

required to switch over to the Executive Programme (New Syllabus). No further extensions for the Executive Programme under the 2017 (Old) Syllabus will be granted.

All such students who had enrolled for the December, 2024 Session of Examinations shall be

successfully completing the Executive Programme Stage (results are scheduled to be

declared on 25th February 2025) would not be required to seek a switchover to New Syllabus.

They may go ahead and register for the Professional Programme.

The remaining students under the Executive Programme (Old Syllabus) i.e. those students who

are not able to complete the Executive Programme Stage during December 2024 Session

shall be required to compulsorily switch over to the Executive Programme (New Syllabus) before

enrolling for examinations from the June 2025 Session onwards.

Students who have not enrolled for the December 2024 Session need NOT wait till the date of

declaration of results and such students may submit their online requests for switchover to

New Syllabus immediately after logging into their individual accounts at https://smash.icsi.edu

so that their records are duly updated before the commencement of examination enrollment

process for the June 2025 Session.
