Applicability of the Finance Act, 2021 for December 2022 Examinations Students may note that the December 2022 Session of Examination, Finance Act, 2021 (i.e. Assessment Year 2022-2023 / the Previous Year 2021-2022) is applicable for the following papers:

Executive Programme

(i) Tax Laws (Module-1, Paper-4)

Professional Programme

(ii) Advanced Tax Laws (Module-1 Paper-2)

Students are also required to update themselves on all the relevant Rules, Notifications,

Circulars, Clarifications, etc. issued by the CBDT, CBIC & Central Government, on or

before 31st May 2022 for December 2022 Examination.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has introduced important changes regarding the entitlement of trainees for trainers who are registered to impart long-term practical training to Company Secretary (CS) students. These revised guidelines will take effect from April 1, 2025 . If you're a Company Secretary in Practice (PCS), Corporate Trainer, or an LLP , this update is crucial for understanding your eligibility and capacity to mentor CS students. 1. Entitlement for Company Secretary in Practice If you are a PCS , your entitlement to train CS students will depend on your years of experience: Years of Experience Maximum Number of Trainees Allowed Less than 1 year 0 1 – 2 years 1 3 – 5 years 3 6 – 10 years 5 11 – 15 years 8 16 – 20 years 10 Above 20 years 12 (Maximum Limit) 🔹 Note: If a PCS surrenders and later resumes their Certificate of Practice (COP), they will be entitled to the same number of trainees as they had before surrendering.
