Extend Due Date for filing Form CSR-2: ICSI Representation
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has requested the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Secretary, Shri Rajesh Verma to extend the due date for filing Form CSR-2.

Sub: Request for providing an extension of timelines for filing of Form CSR-2- Reg
Respected Sir,
This is concerning our letter dated 16th March 2022 on the captioned subject. We wish to draw your kind attention to Rule 12 (1 B) inserted by Companies (Accounts) Amendment Rules, 2022 notified vide MCA Notification dated 11th February 2022. Rule 12(1 B) requires every company covered under the provisions of section 135(1) to furnish a report on Corporate Social Responsibility in Form CSR-2 to the Registrar for the preceding the financial year 2020-2021 and onwards as an addendum to Form AOC-4 or AOC-4 XBRL or AOC-4 NBFC (Ind AS) as the case may be.
Further, proviso to Rule 12(1 B) states that for the preceding the financial year 2020-2021, Form CSR-2 is required to be filed separately on or before 30th June 2022 after filing Form AOC-4 or AOC-4 XBRL or AOC-4 NBFC (Ind AS) as the case may be.
In this regard, we wish to bring to your kind notice that professionals and corporates are still facing a few difficulties in filing Form CSR-2.
Given the above,. it is requested to extend the timelines to file Form CSR-2 by the companies for the preceding financial year 2020-2021 from 30th June 2022 to 31st December 2022.
