PROFILE OF CS B. NARASIMHAN, VICE PRESIDENT, THE ICSI

CS B. Narasimhan is a Post Graduate of Economics and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and has over 4 decades of experience in Corporate Law and Management with a special emphasis on the Capital Market.   

He has been elected for a second term of 4 years from 2023-2026 and will be serving as the Vice-President for the year 2023. He was first elected to the Central Council of the ICSI in the year 2007 and was re-elected in the year 2011 for another term of 4 years. He has been elected once again as a Central Council Member for the term 2019-2022 where he served as the Chairman of the Secretarial Standards Committee, Chairman of the Financial Services Committee, and member of the Disciplinary Committee for 7 years. 

His areas of expertise include Corporate and Securities Management, Public offering of securities, and all Corporate Actions associated with any Listed companies including hands-on experience in operations relating to such Corporate Actions.  

He has been a member of several committees constituted by SEBI and the Chairman of the Registrar Association of India (popularly known as RAIN) for two terms spread over 5 years.  He has also been closely associated with the Stock Exchanges (BSE and NSE), Depositories (NSDL and CDSL), and other Regulatory Bodies. 

He has been a speaker at seminars and conferences both in India and abroad and has contributed to various professional articles.

सीएस बी. नरसिम्हन अर्थशास्त्र में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट हैं और इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ कंपनी सेक्रेटरीज ऑफ इंडिया (आईसीएसआई) के फेलो सदस्य हैं और उनके पास पूंजी बाजार पर विशेष जोर देने के साथ कॉर्पोरेट कानून और प्रबंधन में 4 दशकों से अधिक का अनुभव है।

वह 2023-2026 तक 4 साल के दूसरे कार्यकाल के लिए चुने गए हैं और वर्ष 2023 के लिए उपाध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य करेंगे। वह पहली बार वर्ष 2007 में आईसीएसआई की केंद्रीय परिषद के लिए चुने गए थे और फिर से चुने गए थे। वर्ष 2011 में 4 वर्ष के एक और कार्यकाल के लिए। उन्हें 2019-2022 की अवधि के लिए एक बार फिर से केंद्रीय परिषद सदस्य के रूप में चुना गया है, जहां उन्होंने 7 वर्षों तक सचिवीय मानक समिति के अध्यक्ष, वित्तीय सेवा समिति के अध्यक्ष और अनुशासन समिति के सदस्य के रूप में कार्य किया।
